Actually that's how 1333Mhz DDR3 will show up in CPU-Z's WOT

Guys, dont need to scold TS for it. In fact its good to have more info than less. I often ask clients to generate this via CPU-Z if they ask me what to upgrades

To reply to TS, if for 1080p gaming the RX 580 is the best bang for buck GPU right now. If you look around hard enuff u should be able to pick up one for less than 300 brand new. The MSI RX 580 Armor is SRP 319 now but it comes with 2 free games (DMC 5, RE2 and Division 2, pick 2) and $30 Steam Wallet card.

Just makes sure that your PSU is 550W and above (this WOT will not show this for obvious reasons)

Somewhere down the line though, u might want to consider retiring this i5-3470 platform though. It will struggle in newer game titles like MHW and BFV due to having only 4 cores and 4 threads, plus its IPC is pretty low compared to today's CPUs

GTX 970 4Gb - can be bought for $150-180 (8-10% lesser performance than an RX580/GTX 1060 6Gb, but 50% price)
GTX 1050Ti - can be bought for $180-200 (40-45% lesser performance than an RX580/GTX 1060 6Gb, but with warranty since its a newer model)
RX 570 4Gb - there was a very limited release last 12/12 @ $199 some are making a quick profit by selling this at $230 brand new at carousell.
RX 480/580 4/8Gb- can be bought second hand for $200 upwards, please be wary of those being used for mining.

Brand New route:
Pros: warranty, free games (take a look at the current promotions for Nvidia and AMD card for details)
Cons: Price
RX 580 8Gb - cheapest now at $319 for MSI Armor model with free bag and games.

My advice is to wait for CES 2019 Jan 08-11, 2019. AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL will be announcing some new products. Although it will take several months for the actual products to arrive at retail markets, the competition will drive the GPU prices to a manageable level than what NVIDIA is dictating right now. Get a stop-gap GPU that will last a year. A GTX 970 will be your best bet. Then upgrade your whole system after a year.

thats what i meant. If he don't even know how to tell & show people what he wants and is still using a DDR3 machine, is time for him to buy a whole new system.

Long time never touch XFX brand. Last time I bought an XFX was when I upgraded from a BFG FX5900 Asylum to an XFX FX5950 Ultra (circa 2004). I thought XFX went the same way as BFG and faded to oblivion but apparently XFX still exist.
