Hi guys,
i heading to japan nxt week and i still yet to get a pocket wifi, i am looking at this 2 pocket wifi currently. Pururu & Global advance comm. i'm looking at the 75mbs as it has longer battery life or should i go for 21mbs instead. Looking at the price GAC would be cheaper. Any other recommendation or comments regarding this 2 pocket wifi ??

75mbs has a better battery life than the 21mbs. 21 mb last around 5-6 hours and unless you have a portable battery to charge it, it's gone. 75mbs can last more than 9 hours, but if you were out for more than 12 hours, it dies too.

i prefer 75 as I'm lazy to charge the 25 on the go every day.

source: used both.

I used this last nov for my trip to Tokyo and Hokkaido...

Wifi rental, Unlimited Data Usage 4G, LTE Network, Free Delivery

Battery life easily can last 8-10 hours...

Speed is fantastic in Tokyo... even faster than my hotel wifi... but hokkaido got weak signal on some of the highways...

The pocket router is the latest model with colour lcd...

I think they are using softbank network...

GAC is good. Used their mifi twice and never had problems with connectivity. Only downside for the 72 LTE mifi is its 10GB limit. Moi download a lot of stuff one so I can easily exceed that limit :(

I used my Xiaomi Note Dual Sim phone as my WIFI router to share between my phone and my friend's phone. Just enable WIFI hotspot and you're good to go.

For other countries supporting GSM network, I just use the Dual SIM Xiaomi Note. The 3G for the local data SIM and the 2G for my Singapore SIM.

as you experienced, 21mbps service and coverage is good enough for a visit to tokyo, disneyland and mt. fuji? will use it most importantly for google map, browsing and video calling sometimes...how about if ill be using it for youtube for viewing just in case my daughter become bored on train trips?

used before the bmobile and is good enough for me, but now considering this so I can share all the time the internet (ill be having a powerbank with me)

dependent on the country. For JP, it's unlimited but i'm not sure about the coverage etc. I only know it's LTE speed with no throttling
