yup I agree on the generous storage option, plus microSD expansion on top of that

this launch came as a surprise because Redmi 13C has yet to launch and this is supposedly the Poco rebrand of the Redmi.

Any idea how fast POCO C-series will typically drop their prices in the next 6-12 months for Singapore?

Poco M3 $99 (Oct-2023) was an abnormality promo (offload phones with faulty motherboard aka deadboot issues) right? I am glad I resisted the urge to get one at $99 as a spare phone.

• Flipkart C55 prices dropped from R9499 to R6799 from Mar-23 to Oct-23. -30% in approx 7 months.
• Amazon India 12C prices dropped from R8999 to R6799 from Apr-23 to Nov-23. -25% in approx 7 months.

Prior to C65, I was convinced the POCO C series refers to "crippled" and "cheapo-looking".

C-series is really the most basic line, I rather they put the older MTK Helio G85 in than some JLQ processor like they did in the previous C40 which I believe hindered any software updates, it launched on Android 11(!!) last year and got stuck on it ever since.

Here's a brief evolution of the C-Series. C65 is in my watchlist as my banking token phone next year.

This C65 really for spare use/basic user or for kids watch youtube cartoons, babyshark that kind huan

But having said that

if they can hv a first 1 or 2 hour "special price" flash deal just for 11.11 alone

then moi dun mind get a unit just for spare use

In the Xiaomi realm, the closest competitor is Redmi 12C and this C65 is identical but better in minor specs & value wise

Spend abit more, Redmi 12 base is little better than C65 but it's not really valued for money since it's improvement is only barely better screen resolution

The "Good" budget Xiaomi phone Redmi 12 5G seemingly isn't or hasn't released here yet it seems

seems this fone like not selling so well since its launch few days ago

saw their fb page keep spamming ads non-stop abt it

Either its "marketing" hvnt reach to the masses (it being a new fone) or ppl still awaiting wait-and-see approach

Maybe a "special" B1F1 one-time flash deal using its U.P instead of discounted $12 off on 11.11 will get it moving ?

basic like calls, watsapp, FB, youtube, photo taking at times and most impt is the banking and govt app...

without the software updates she cant use the app to apply like buying SSB and T-bills

I see c65 is eMMC 5.1 Storage. How does it compare with m3 using UFS Storage 2.1?
