Anyone sent your Poco M3 in to Xiaomi Service Centre for deadboot issue and have trouble getting it back? Recently I have a relative who sent her unit for the same issue, Service Centre said need Xiaomi's approval to carry on with the repair works and till now (more than a month), still no news, their hotline isn't even active, impossible to call in to check.

I sent my unit in last October and service centre managed to get it fixed in a couple of days.

I recently send a Poco M3 back to Xiaomi Service center. Within 1 day they replaced the main board and the phone is back in working condition. That phone is still within the 1 year warranty and it is the 4GB/128GB black color.

If your phone is out of warranty, it is up to Xiaomi if they want to fix it for free.

Else the mainboard replacement itself cost close to the amount paid for a new Poco M3.

the phone is under warranty, which makes this whole thing very strange. 🤔

That Poco M3 is bought from which store?

Xiaomi Service Center is able to check with the central database and determine the warranty start date.

If the Phone is bought from the Official Poco store at Shopee and Lazada, the date of confirmation of received of the phone will be the start date.

If the Poco M3 is bought from elsewhere that is not from the authorized retailer, Xiaomi has the rights to reject the warranty claims.

If your phone is bought from flippers that originally bought from Poco Official Store, the warranty start date is the date the flipper press the Confirmation of Received, not the date the phone is sold to you.

I gave poco a shot. I usually let phone auto off at 3am power on at 3.05am. Poco power off n went dead. No more poco you promised the world n delivered nothing but headache. So buy poco at your own risk.

POCO suffers from the middle child syndrome

For high-end, you have Xiaomi/Mi

For budget to mid-range, you have Redmi

POCO is now neither here nor there, so unsurprising that their product QC may drop as more budget allocated to Xiaomi or Redmi

Yes, can Google and follow the step by step. For moi X3 GT currently still with: 13.0.4.0.SKPMIXM - May 29 2022

Already skipped twice even on the latest MiUI14 update.

Found that the current one battery is good and everything is working nicely...just keep it as long as it's working fine

Poco M3 used for about 2 months, so far so good. Experienced dead boot twice, fortunately it was rebooted again. Just do not update or reboot to play safe, else it is a good device. 2 SIMs + 1 separate mSD slots are a joy to use, esp seeing both SIMs operate on VOLTE.

It took a while, the first dead boot to reboot took a day. Requested refund from Shopee Poco Official Store but Store said unless Mi issues a defect statement, no refund.

A second dead boot I think lasted a few hours, then I followed recovery boot instruction hold pressing two of the buttons for a minute then it rebooted. Since then, dare not restart the phone.

No wonder this phone is still available and dirt cheap now at $109 but if used properly, no complaint. 😀

yeah my unit totally dead after I powered it off, wasn't aware of the deadboot issue then, couldn't power back on after multiple methods and tries. Xiaomi Service Centre replaced a new motherboard for my unit, never powered it off since then, restart still ok.
