I think matrix05 is referring to this one bah - Mi 10 Lite...

Seen a few product pages for the non-T version on Lazada between $4XX to $5XX price range. I suppose the lower end of that price range could go to low $4XX, but that still brings it almost twice the price of PM3 tho.

Recently Mi 10 Lite 5G could be gotten at $327 on Qoo10...

Besides Mi 10T Lite and Mi 10 Lite... there's also a Mi Note 10 Lite to add to the confusion lol..

Anyone here received and started using their Poco M3? Any feedback?
:s12:

Thinking of getting one for parent to replace Mi Max 3, reason on choosing M3 over X3 is because need big battery, no need 120Hz and NFC. Also looking at Redmi Note 9S, hence I hope to see how M3 is first.

Looking to change because after the MIUI 12 update, performance and battery life is quite bad and a factory reset did not help. Plus, use Max 3 for a while liao, find it very cumbersome now. Still looking around and gathering feedback though, may try a clean flash one day see if is any better.

Mine was delivered yesterday.

Backlight bleeding noticed at the bottom of the screen upon first bootup, however it was no longer noticeable after an hour or two of usage. Not a big concern for me since I switch my phones to dark mode anyways.

Initial system response was a little sluggish, as are loading apps during the first one to two hours of use. However, that is no longer noticeable later. It might be what some reviewers were mentioning in some YouTube videos. Perhaps the phone needed some time to "warm-up"? The phone and apps response after a few hours of use is snappy enough for me. I am leaning towards the factory applied screen protector being a cause of the sluggish touch display. Might remove it later on since I usually prefer to use a naked phone without such screen protection.

No issues so far with looking at the screen during daylight hours.

Speakers are fine and loud enough to watch movies and YouTube at a bus stop along a busy road. The power button that doubles as a fingerprint reader responds fairly quickly enough. I guess the smaller profile of the detector requires some getting used to in relation to how quickly I want the phone to unlock. Overall, I find it satisfactory.

Built in ads can be turned off by navigating thru various apps and unchecking the "receive recommendations" or by unchecking "receive ads" upon first bootup configuration. No app conflicts are detected so far. Everything is working as expected.

Battery life test will begin today after draining it last night and did a full charge overnight. I'll update how long a full charge can last me at a later time if you prefer.

Thank you for the feedback. Hope to hear back on how is the battery performance.
Concluded my battery test this morning.

On a full charge with no battery saver mode and with average everyday usage of the phone, the battery charge dropped to the low 50% range on the first day, and dropped to 49% the following morning. Battery saver mode kicked in around evening time on the second day, and remained around 12% charge before going to bed around midnight. Woke up to 8% charge on the morning of the third day, and decided to charge it. With quick charge, the battery came back up to 49% after an hour or so, and hit 91% just a few minutes ago.

Overall, I would say the battery lasts as long as I would hope. I wanted a phone to last at least 1.5 to 2 full days of usage between charges, and it is what I got. My older 3.5 to 4 year old phone easily dropped to 50% by noon from a full charge and barely survived before dinner time with average use.

I had planned on this new phone to be useful to me whenever I traveled abroad. But of course with the whole covid19 situation still ongoing that is unlikely to be as frequent anytime soon, but the ability to do so will be there when I am able to. I hope this helps.

Not exactly sure what else needs to be said. If you have not read my earlier feedback a few posts up, you might want to check it out.

The phone works as intended. Satisfied with the battery performance lasting at least 2 days, liking the textured back, dual speakers are nice, but some YouTube videos seems to alternate louder volumes between top and bottom speakers(infrequently and does not occur everytime and only for specific videos). Not sure if it is something on their encoding end, or a soft/hardware issue on Poco's end. Ads are no longer an issue once you turn them off in settings. Uninstalled a couple of apps that came with the phone and only keeping the ones I use. Screen brightness isn't an issue during daylight hours, have been playing around with settings to get wallpapers and dark mode working in a manner that I prefer, network connectivity is fine. The power/fingerprint reader responses at an acceptable speed. I suppose I just needed some time to get used to the layout on the phone and how to position my fingers to get a snappier response. Its fine now, and it locks and unlocks at a speed I am satisfied with.

One thing I have not tested extensively is the camera system. I have taken a few test pics, but nothing really evaluative since I am not a big camera user. Only want an acceptable camera for when I need to take pics for personal and work related needs.

Overall, a sub $200 price paid for a 4/128gb variant of the PM3 as a budget phone is a good buy in my opinion. I suppose it is a good choice for people on a restricted budget, or a phone suited for youngsters or elderly not wanting to spend too much, but still have all the necessary(expected?) functions so as to not impede their lifestyle.

I suppose it depends the buyers needs and uses of their phone. I am not saying the PM3 is the only choice for those on a budget, but it does have what I want in a newly launched phone priced at $196 - a mere $7 more than the price you stated for RMN8P. I have only stated the possible reasons why someone would want to consider it.

The RN8P was available at 189 only during the flash sale. Not everyone got it. Some people here are using that as a benchmark to call all other phones expensive which is not right.

Even 2nd hand RN8P cannot be found for that price now.

Ahh I see.

To be fair, $189 is a decent price for those on a budget., and I would have seriously considered it, but I feel having a larger battery capacity being a better tradeoff for my uses. The PM3 is suppose to serve as my media device to entertain and keeping up with the news while I am traveling. My preferred travel style is to take a minimalist approach to backpacking. Having this 6,000mah phone with all the features that I need, coupled with a 20,000mah powerbank should be more than sufficient if I am not able to land accommodations that allows me to charge my phone. I tend to stealth camp whenever possible when I am abroad, so I do like the independence it affords me between battery charges.
