Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is slower than x7 pro but redmi got esim

btw shopee now POCO X7 (non pro) 8/256 at $245, got esim also.
same model but i believe they removed ESIM from the Poco version for SG. Someone who owns one can verify?

Actually why so concern about esim? I don't even use them....
Useful for travels if one doesn't have a roaming deal (e.g., SIMBA, 8 etc). Klook etc have lots of esim roaming deals.

Poco X7 (non pro) is the cutdown version of Redmi Note 14 Pro (non +). Both have esim support.
Redmi Note 14 Pro + also have esim support but with better chip (SD 7S Gen 3).
Poco X7 Pro doesn't have esim support but with even better chip (MD 8400 Ultra)

Nowadays all the MVNOs are giving good free roaming plans. Hardly need to get additional roaming SIMs unless you are going for prolonged periods.

Another member posted earlier the X7 doesn't have esim for SG version. Mi SG site specs seems aligned with that..hence my comment on actual owners confirming it . Last thing u want is someone buys it and doesn't have the feature :
https://www.mi.com/sg/product/poco-x7/specs

If it indeed has .then it's a super value phone for anyone looking for a global esim phone.

Again..just an example. There are many other reasons. Even travellers who needs a local # for various reasons, or even folks who have corp phones and insane CIS or corp roaming rates that they don't want to pay for and no reason to sign up for mvnos just for roaming...hence most have iphones for easy esim enablement when needed.

Not everyone has the same use case. same as 3.5mm jack...I would prefer to have a wired headset but young folks prefer their airpods anytime. To each their own

U bring up a good point actually. I wonder if by switching the country region on the phone the esim feature pops up the Poco?

Cuz on the 15U..if u switch it to some regions such as USA..esim disappears. Basically XM disabling features by SW.

X7 got eSIM? Recall it was shared that no eSIM on POCO yet leh.

Seems unofficial. There are online posts stating that esim is supported. Afterall it is the remake of Redmi Note 14 Pro which has esim support to begin with.

i checked my dad's X7 (non-pro), it has esim support, though he has yet to try.
enabling esim will disable the 2nd sim card slot.
that is correct. same as 15U. In that case, X7 is the best deal for esim right now. (ignoring those Moto crap).

but some push ads still cannot be eliminated on the x7 despite disabling msa, and all that crap... for example after using the phone cleaner app

is it the same on xiaomi 15?
