I was thinking about the two and then got distracted by other things, then both got sold out.

Not so sure if I want to consider Poco F7 Ultra at S$530 or not.

I have not bought any Android phone over S$500 since 2018.

I am using X7 Pro now and I like it. Poco F7 Ultra is of course in a different class. Good thing to me is the fast CPU and WiFi 7.

Edit: only 256GB version available, 512GB version out of stock, so I am not buying it.

Maybe I will buy Poco Pad since I don't really need another Poco phones for the family members.

Maybe your F7 Ultra/Pro is even better. Or maybe the use cases are different.

I install quite some apps but only use a few apps most of the time. Top battery consumptions may be from Chrome/Google/Gmail, then maybe YouTube (only at home, using WiFi), a bit of Facebook/Linkedin, a bit of WhatsApp and WeChat.

I have X, TikTok and Instagram installed but almost never use them.

Similarly for AI apps like ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Perplexity and Gemini. Seldom using them.

I upgraded from an aging Poco X4 GT so my expectation may be different.

I tested all on standby and X7 drains faster with same apps installed.
But yes, maybe it's just me too.

need decent cpu for low lag ... some ms office and pdf files
... cannot those intel celeron $400 laptop ........ i downgraded from desktop cpu to laptop i3 dual core it crash when I use google map 3D show too many buildings , cpu too weak

True and agreed, nowadays all the programs etc. so resource intensive..
Like that those sub $1k, above $500 should work fine enough. Recall coming across during the last IT Show.

it's in my cart! lol...have not hit the "buy" button yet..i am using the Poco Pad for inflight entertainment...otherwise...the M7 would be good for media viewing.
