Somehow after 12.5 update, my x3 pro seems less smooth. Not sure if anyone experience it too?

Maybe there is some indexing running in the background. Do give it 1-3 days to stabilise

Just got my poco x3 pro bought from qoo10. It has some scratches at the plastic back, a bit disappointed about that. I just activated and registered it to my MI account, the warranty status doesn't seem to be updated immediately and still reporting "international", gonna wait a few days to check again.

Now gotta wait 168 hours for bootloader unlock.

Looking to buy this phone. When will the next offer be coming?
I got from qoo10
You can use coupon
Then there is also the grab cashback
There is also the 2% qoo10 gift card off.

Does the scratch looks like it happened in the factory or something else?

  1. Link your poco x3 pro to your MI account
  2. Activate "Find my device" for Mi account
  3. Settings > About Phone > Tab "MIUI version (For POCO)" until developer mode unlocked
  4. Settings > Additional Settings > Developer Options
    • OEM unlocking - Checked
    • Mi Unlock status > Add account and device - Do only once, anymore will reset 168 hours unlock counter
  5. Go to https://en.miui.com/unlock/and download the mi unlock software
  6. Prepare for future unlock
    • Turn off your mobile
    • Boot into fastboot mode - Volume Down + Power
    • Run "MiUsbDriver.exe" located in the miflash_unlock_en zip
    • Connect mobile to PC or laptop
    • Poco X3 Pro driver should be installed
    • Run "miflash_unlock.exe" and proceed through the software
    • If you yet to apply for permission to unlock, you can apply from there (I think, the last I applied was years ago, not sure still a thing now or not)
    • The software will tell you the countdown which is 168 hours aka 1 week.
    • Exit fastboot mode on phone by holding the power button.
  7. A week later, time to unlock.
    • Backup your file, if you have used the phone intensively, unlocking will result in factory reset.
    • Turn off mobile
    • Boot into fastboot mode - Volume Down + Power
    • Run "miflash_unlock.exe"
    • Connect mobile to PC
    • Proceed through "miflash_unlock.exe"
    • Unlocked
  1. Download google platform tool from https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
  2. Extract the tool
  3. In the tool folder (where adb.exe / fastboot.exe / etc. are at), type "cmd" at "Address bar" to open command prompt to that folder
    AiOecKz.jpg
    • Press enter after you type "cmd", if it isn't obvious.
  4. Turn off mobile
  5. Boot into fastboot mode - Volume Down + Power
  6. Connect mobile to PC
  7. Go to command prompt window, type "fastboot devices".
    • Your phone will be shown if detected, otherwise, fix your driver.
  8. Download Custom Recovery
  9. Extract the ".img" file to the tool's folder
  10. Type "fastboot flash recovery <filename.img>" in command prompt
  11. Done, Type "fastboot reboot recovery" or Volume Up + Power on mobile to enter recovery
  1. Connect mobile to PC
  2. Copy files to mobile aka your phone, make sure you know which folder
    1. Firmware - https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/vayu/
    2. Rom
    3. Gapp - ARM64 (If you use gapps)
    4. Magisk Alpha (If rooting), alpha is simply better for us who use singpass - https://github.com/vvb2060/magisk_files/tree/alpha or https://t.me/magiskalpha
      • The apk file
  3. Boot into recovery - Vol up + Power
  4. install in order. For orangefox, just browse and click the file to install, if you didn't do the 2nd step which is copy the files to mobile, enable "MTP" in settings (the gear button) so you can copy the files while in recovery.
    1. Firmware
    2. Rom
    3. Gapps (if you want)
    4. Magisk (if rooting)
  5. Wipe data, Cache and Dalvik/Art Cache
  6. Reboot into system
  7. Done
If you mess up the wipe data order which resulted you no longer enable to do MTP in recovery, don't worry, you can always use "adb sideload".
  1. Look for sideload in recovery
  2. Open command prompt in your tool folder, type "adb sideload <filename>" to install the things you want.
    • Obviously you need the files in the tool folder
  1. Download xiaomi flash tool - https://xiaomiflashtool.com/
  2. Download fastboot package - https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/vayu/
  3. Extract xiaomi flash tool, run "XiaoMiFlash.exe"
  4. Extract fastboot package to somewhere, preferably root subfolder of c:\ or whatever drive
    • Long pathname can cause "XiaoMiFlash.exe" to run into error
  5. Boot mobile into fastboot - Vol down + power
  6. Connect mobile to pc
  7. In "XiaoMiFlash.exe", select folder of fastboot package
  8. Bottom right of the software, choose "clean all" or "clean and lock (bootloader)"
  9. Click flash
  10. Once done, it will auto reboot into MIUI
At the moment of this post, some custom roms fail safetynet. It is not absolutely necessary to get safetynet to work. Only do this if the gapps you want to install require it.
  1. Install Magisk Alpha
  2. Download and install Fox's Magisk Module Manager (Fox's Mmm) - https://github.com/Fox2Code/FoxMagiskModuleManager/releases
  3. In Fox's Mmm, download MagiskHidePropsConf
  4. Reboot
  5. Run any terminal app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.termux
  6. Type "su" and enter
  7. Grant super user rights to it
  8. Type "props" and enter
  9. Type "1" and enter
  10. Type "f" and enter
  11. Type "22" and enter
  12. Type "6" and enter
  13. Basically, you are choosing "Poco X3 Pro (Global)"
  14. Type "y"
  15. Reboot and test your safetynet
For magisk alpha
  • Download and install Fox's Magisk Module Manager (Fox's Mmm) - https://github.com/Fox2Code/FoxMagiskModuleManager/releases
  • In Fox's Mmm, download MagiskHidePropsConf
  • In Fox's Mmm, download Riru
  • In Fox's Mmm, download Universal SafetyNet Fix
  • Reboot
  • In magisk, enable "magiskhide" in settings, you can only see this if "Zygisk" is disabled
  • In magisk, go to "configure denylist" in settings, click the "3 dots" at top right, show system apps
    • Check "Google Play Services"
    • Check "Google Play Services for AR" (Not sure if needed, just do anyway)
    • Check "Google Play Store" (Not sure if needed, jus do anyway)
    • Check "Google Services Framework" (Not sure if needed, just do anyway)
    • Check "Singpass"
  • In magisk, "hide Magisk" in settings, choose some really unpredictable name
  • Reboot
  • You can now use singpass
  1. Lucky Patcher - https://www.luckypatchers.com/download/
You can use it to remove ads from some apps and other uses
  2. Adaway - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.adaway/
DNS based adblock. Personally I add this https://raw.githubusercontent.com/r-a-y/mobile-hosts/master/AdguardDNS.txt from https://github.com/r-a-y/mobile-hosts to the list and disable the defaults ones.
  3. Viper4Android - Magisk Module
Basically allow you to tweak sound further
  4. Titanium Backup - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
If you want to backup authenticator but only have one phone, this is one of the few options
  5. Smartpack Kernel Manager - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartpack.kernelmanager.release
Successor to Kernel Adiutor, allow you to tweak kernel as you want.
  6. Vanced Youtube - https://vancedapp.com/
Not unique to root phone but root phone does not require MicroG installed
  7. Advanced Charging Controller (ACC) - Magisk Module
Battery lifespan extender, it does so by pausing charging when too high temperature, limiting charge capacity because full charged battery has lesser lifespan, it can also limit charging speed because fast charge reduce lifespan.
FAQ
  1. Does unlocking bootloader void your warranty?
    No
  2. Does installing custom rom void your warranty?
According to xiaomi, if the custom rom is the reason for hardware failure then yes.
  3. Is Poco X3 Pro A/B partition?
    No
  4. What is a good custom rom?
Personally, I put utmost importance on "selinux enforcing" status for security reason. Any rom with that shouldn't be too bad.
  5. Do you not need to erase system partition first?
No, we flash with "image" thus it will overwrite entire partition, there is no need to specifically erase partition.
  6. If I flash back official and locked the phone. Do I have to redo the 168 hours unlock procedure?
No, as long you don't re-add account to the Mi unlock in developer option, it will not reset the already done counter at server side.
  7. My Viper4Andriod is not working! The sound is cranking! What should I do?
Apparently, Viper4Andriod has comptability issue with seLinux enforcing status. To fix it, follow https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-viper4android-miui-12-magisk-21-1.4203489/#post-84112893 and if it still doesn't work, your custom rom might have conflicting inbuilt SFX mod therefore you need to install "Audio Modification Library" and "Ainur narsil" in magisk.
  8. My custom rom is stuck on loading screen.
We need to identify the problem. First, if you are using gapps, try installing without gapps. If it worked, it means the gapps is bugged so download a older version gapps. If you are not using gapps, it means the rom zip is corrupted so redownload the rom or the rom itself is bugged so use another rom or the installation isn't clean which means you may need to flash official rom to clean your partitions.

I checked the imei with https://imei24.com/imei_check/Xiaomi/
It only show activation date but no country @_@
activation date = warranty start date
but no country means..........no border warranty? :D
