Competitor not much cheaper? I was looking at Note 8. The same plan for me to get iphone X 256GB will cost be about $1.2k at least oppposed to a note 8 at $568

I’m comparing the base $42 plan on the base phone. The note 8 is $998 for me. The iPhone X is likely just $100+ more (based on Singtel and Starhub’s pricing, so M1 should be similar).

I am fine with 64GB storage so in my situation definitely getting the iPX over note 8.
