1) When giving out infractions, the moderator who had awarded the punishments should be made known.

There are a few reasons for this implementation:

A) Allow the people who had been infracted to know who to seek assistance from.

B) Make moderators accountable for their actions. There have been previous cases of abuse by moderators when it comes to giving out infractions, the most famous case being the Aamir incident where many people got infracted for unjustified reasons.

There were also many recent cases where members of the forum had been infracted for seemingly light offenses, like using slightly vulgar words to emphasize one's point without actually scolding anybody.

It's simply impossible to seek redress from abuses by moderators without knowing who they are and it emboldens them to abuse their unchallenged administrative powers.

2) Allow banned users a secondary access only to the Feedback Section.

This allows them a chance to appeal their infractions and make known to the public why they got ban. They can be banned again from the Feedback Section if they make a nuisance there.

1) Why no. An infracted but unbanned person have a very low chance of actually harassing the mods since he would like to preserve his account.

A banned person who harass the mods with clones can have his clones easily banned. If mods are afraid to face abuse to ensure fairness and accountability, I don't think they deserve to be mods.

2) That's the reason. Why must people create clones to seek an appeal?

They need more mods to oversee, saying they are not free 24/7 is a lame excuse

As if knowing who the moderators in question are will make any kind of difference. :s13:

The quality of moderation in this forum is simply disgustingly poor. People who committed minor offenses get punished while IBs from both sides of the political spectrum who flame people and people who stir religion gets to continue scot-free.

The punishment itself is also severely biased. I got 12 points, without any prior warning, for spamming when someone else, who makes very insulting comments, gets only 3 points. This is pure nonsense. Like I'm doing more damage to the forum as compare to the guy making insulting remarks.

Mods performance shall be review 4-5 years time even a country can have relection every 4-5 years

Tiagong even got people can use the acc for their own benefit so this means a lot Liao

When mod guve infractions give reasons n id if not is playing taichi games

Edmw can be more fair if the rules are apply all to 1 1 for all

I also think it's time for new moderators to be chosen. Prevents complacency and concentration of power.

mods dun owe anyone a living.

They don't. But they should be responsible for making fair decisions when it comes to punishments as stated in their list of responsibility. Were you a member of this forum when the Aamir case occurred? Or are you a new member?

Last time got discuss le, I also got bring up.
Actually you know only this forum , moderators sometimes own up.
Most forums, don't allow appeal, undoing or even reveal who ban who.

But this forum also allows ppl to post a lot of rubbish.
If strict, 3/4 users here uplorry liao lol
