1. NUS
2. NTU
3. SMU
4. SUTD
5. SIT
6. SUSS

Is this ranking correct? I know that different universities have different strengths but as of now Im looking generically at Universities only.

After all, what you want to do in life?

Study a subject that would be useful to your aspirations and it will be more fulfilling.

Study Degree != Success

Study Degree, make full use of the knowledge acquired and network with the right set of people then you can have a brighter future.

I have friends studied RMIT Business Management and is having hard time finding job.

Get more exposure during your diploma and see if that's what you plan to do the rest of your life.

What is the ranking based on?
What criteria do you consider important?
Which subjects are you interested in?

If you are just looking for a name recognition, then yes, the ranking is spot on.

However, there are many factors that you need to consider when choosing a university.

1) How do the graduates fare in the industry?
2) How is the student life like?
3) What is the teaching style?
4) Which particular field of the industry are you interested in?
5) Who are the faculties in a particular department?
.....and many more

It is pointless to rank the universities without considering all other factors.

My advice to you is, explore your passion while in poly. Know what you want to do and pursue it with an open mind.

Lastly, as most people here will agree, the paper isn't what that is going to make you successful, it is what you make of that paper.

Nowadays I see many poly students damn steady, got high gpa can apply to any courses in uni, not necessary restricted to only related poly course.

Or in the past ppl dodo cannot score high gpa
Or b4 you did see cause u not looking? The numbers didn't really change just you become more aware?

Rather, do your own research. At least you know more about the local universities. SUSS is no EE and SMU unless u are going the IS course.

Nope. I'm saying our uni are now more opened to taking in poly students from non related courses. For eg., poly engrg students can also switch path & consider applying for business or social sciences courses if their GPA is high. So in TS's case, he can still try to apply SMU even when SMU doesn't offer EE course.
