can work, but noisy.. you need to connect the exhaust pipe to blow hot air outside. Can buy thermal blanket to wrap around the pipe

I dont know how other portable aircon work but the Mistral 12K BTU Model that I bought cant even lower 1 degree after 4 hours. Beside that quite noisy, need window to pipe out the exhaust hot air.
The aircon just cycle thru 15min fan cooling => 2 min cold air => 20 sec warm air. Just 2 min cold air how to lower the temp in the room?

It does work. But you need to install a big exhaust to blow hot air outside the room. They use more electricity though.

i think ur aircon either got problem or something with ur settings?

Mine doesnt do that, it just continuously blow cold air.

Check ur settings, maybe u set it to cycle thru fan and cooling mode.

However portable aircons usually arent strong enough to cool down the entire room, it's more for cooling an area.

So i just aim it at my desk when im using my PC and it will be cold there.

yes it does but it is quite noisy.

And you need to guide the hot exhaust out of the room via window with proper ducting. Else the cold air will escape. normally they will give the accessories to clip on the sliding window or so.

it works to a small extent, but you need exhaust outlet & water drainage & it's noisy.

or just a fan with colder wind blowing out.
It more or less works and can cool a given enclosed space, but its very inefficient and needs and wastes lots more electrical power than a wall mounted unit with similar btu...
