Frankly, in Singapore, IT products are already as cheap as they get. Thailand imposes an import tax.

d trick is 2 look 4 their promo items. not all electronic items r dearer there.

eg1, i bought a acer celeron netbook under 10k baht @ Siam Paragon during their promo. d same config cost $60-80 more here in sg.

eg2, bought latest brother AIO wifi printer @ around S$160-170 regular price. sg selling d same model @ 198 or 218 @ HN.

of cos warrantly is always an issue 4 those who hardly travel 2 bkk. 4 those self-proclaimed "bkk regulars", do ur homework well, pick those light items, there r still lots of good bargain out there in bkk.

note: for notebook, their keyboard comes standard with Thai script imprinted. some may not like it.

what are the issues regarding warranty like?

Eg: Same brand of laptop bought in thailand, can bring to local SG service centre?

thanks ahead for your thoughts! :)
