Possible discharge from NS?

Gd evening guys. I have currently started national service and it has been 1 1/2 months. I was graded pes c possibly due to my depression disorder. NS so far has been challenging for me and i have been trying hard to push myself. But at times i couldn't.There were alot symptoms that appeared during ns. I had auditory hallucinations, seeing shadows, even attempted to kill myself a few times. The medication only helped to a certain extent.

Fast forward, i visited the psychiatrist and he told me that i could have schizophrenia. I was sad but i know that i needed the right diagnosis so that i can get better. My question is, what will happened to my NS? Will they still allow me to serve even though i have active symptoms? Thank you in advance for reading this.

hey. Honestly, im not too sure. Part of me dw to serve mainly bcoz i need time to recover. But another part of me feels like serving. I'm in like a dilemma situation. Tho, the ns side still have not updated anything yet as of now.

True enough. But i have not seen the medical officer at my unit yet. I have already informed the higher ups about it tho. so i guess its just a waiting game now.

so the question is... do you think your condition is due to NS? Cause even after you leave NS, are you never going to study then go to work? will you not face similar situation?

Nope. I was already diagnosed with a mental condition before hand. So NS, isnt the cause but could possibly be an aggravating factor. The only reason why i have a relapse is bcoz i have not fully recovered. I am sure it needs time, and once i get a control of myself, working/studying won't be such a huge deal tho.

If you are not intending ever in your life to apply for any govt jobs then no issue..

Otherwise if part of you wanna serve you should ask to be assigned to a role that you can have less stress or regiment, everyone serves in their own right. So nothing to be be ashamed of.
