It is possible, but requires you to get your hands dirty.

Google for AMD OSX (will not link references here to abide by subforum's guidelines).

Note that you will need a Radeon GPU for Catalina and above to work properly. Only certain Radeon GPU models work properly with driver support. Nvidia GPUs lack proper driver support. Pascal cards and earlier can only boot into High Sierra using Web Drivers. Turing and Ampere cards outright no driver support, can only use basic VESA drivers.
