Tank Opr and Tpr belong to the main coys while Pioneers are from SP coy and only 1 platoon of Pioneer. SP coy has Recce, Pioneer and Mortar.

I believe there is no worst or better job, there is only pros and cons.

SP coy is support coy, means they are there to support and not the main bulk of soldiers. So you do not do much section movement, do more technical work than shooting.

I am going to bring those important stuffs first. Eg, use everyday stuffs. Then the next book in then bring in the others.

Just keep the sling bag just incase.

during my time (2008) we went for our driving course/atgm course 1st.. before our AIT/GCC...

anyway congrats ... welcome to Light Strike! you're in one of the BEST vocations ever!

i'm a spec there now, waiting for the guys to come in tomorrow. GCC was "hell" for us and yes, can say lightstrike is one of the best vocations! The vehicle is awesome, sadly i can't get to drive i think.

ATI and 42SAR is different, 42SAR is a unit, ATI is a training institute. afaik, after ATI you will be posted to a unit.

i made a mistake with my previous post.. i was referring to ivan du.. from BRC (not sure if its still there or not)...

anyway im sure at a certain point of time, they will send the specs (not all) for driving course...

gunners got the best life.. just sit behind and sleep.. for drivers, its tough mentally cos need to endure long hours of driving at 50km/h

I have this special order:

No Camera Handphone is allowed. You are required to bring along your duffle bag / field pack complete with the SAF issued items given during BMT. You are expected to stay in.

So can I report backpacking my fieldpack and my duffle bag, or do I have to squeeze everything inside my duffle bag?

Plus required to stay in means what? I have to be confined for a few weeks, or I only get to book out on fridays?

For armour engineer pioneer, any idea if we got few weeks confimement or just weekly standard book out? Cuz for OCS i know is 3 weeks confinement... So not sure if unit got first few weeks confinement ****..

standard book out. for tmr reporting no choice smart 4, then book out also smart 4. but those in 42 will book in tonight and book out in civilian.
