I'm pleased as a punch with my ES5 customs and Hifiman HM-602. Very lovely portable rig. No need to worry about LODs and amps.

holy moley guacamole. nice LCD2! did you get it locally? There seems to be a recent update of the model. I wonder if there's a complimentary update to rev.2 for you, it'd be great if there is. shame the older ones came with a foam though, always thought it was a pity for such a flagship to sport a foam headband.

Hey bro, no longer using Hifiman 602 with my ES5. Feel that 602 is too warm though the clarity is there. Treble roll off is also another issue.

Current rig is as follows:

DIYmod with SCSag & Madcap Penguin amp (AD8397 + AD825 opamps)

3 different LODs depending on my mood
First pic is my reference LOD TWag V1 low profile for great imaging and excellent details
Second pic left LOD is pure silver and copper hybrid for balanced and smooth sound. On the right is pure copper for improved soundstage and better bass

Done with portable. Gonna concentrate on getting a Burson HA-160 for my desktop now. And maybe an LCD-2. Maybe.

What kind of genre u listen to?

I tried the Mage and wasn't too impressed. A bit too dark and bottom heavy for me. I was impressed with the Miracle though. It does certain stuff better than my ES5.

Not when the DAC powering her is just a pico amp/dac...borrowed from the girlfriend.

Decided to get my NAS plus mac mini first then, worry about the DAC and 2nd rack later...
