Hi all,

I was approached by a close family member who has "invested" in this company called Atlantic global asset management. They claim to invest in bitcoin, with weekly payouts to the investment account. My family member showed me videos/pics from their conferences where they try to entice more people to join this scheme. it seems that there were a lot of people attending these conferences.

I told my family member that he can say goodbye to his money, but hopefully word gets out about this potential ponzi so that no more people get hurt. If you want to read up more about it, then you can do so by googling the name, but it seems that they have failed to pay their "investors" in Eastern Europe.

Well that explains the "many people" term. The bit/eth/lite coins bandwagon is gaining steam. Its like the Gold Rush days, except that its slower. Might be because a certain group of individuals(conservatives, older generations, risk adverse, etc) could never comprehend the idea of money being digital. :) At least one sees Gold, but not datacodes lol

The scam list is too long.

But it is not difficult to identify a scam.

Yeah, this is a scam. The website is gibberish; the promised returns are impossible (weekly payouts? I mean, come on); and being able to invest in anything using Bitcoin is a giant red flag for money laundering.

At best it's a front for money laundering and it's going to get shut down, and at worst it's a ponzi and they're going to run off with your cash. You were right to warn your family member about this.

LOL.

Many Sinkies wouldn't put $$ in Singtel,OCBC stocks or STI etf but many willing to do these 'investments' .

They don't even trust CPF.
