Anything signed with the US is worthless. They can turn around anytime to extort more. But mostly small countries no choice.

Look at all the other 'trade deals' signed by other countries like korean japan
All jjww about how this is a great deal, when in reality they got extorted
The worst is u sign already, promise to commit so much investments into USA.

DT can anytime ki siao accuse you for something or working too closely with China or Russia, can get slapped with another tarriff hike.
This did happened to countries like India.

DT also said that those working closely on BRICS, will be slapped with additional tarrifs, this is in addition to the current tarrif and is a different matter to discuss.
Anwar pull down his pants and bend also cannot satisfy finish. :(

“Any country aligning themselves with the anti-American policies of BRICS will be charged an additional 10% tariff. There will be no exceptions to this policy.”

Not this one. If we have something the US needs, we also can get a discount. :s13:

Be prepared for exponentially more otters, crocodiles, monitor lizards, boars, monkeys, crows, pigeons, civet cats to come over to Singapore once Malaysia start digging and processing rare earths.

China paid a very big price for rare earth mining and processing.

anyway he receive so many nominations for the peace prize, if next year he never win, the legitimacy of the committee will be questioned.
Already a joke nia, it's just a prize given to those who advance Western interests
Even this year recipient is a genocide denier

By signing with the US to allow access to Malaysia’s rare earth deposits, I wonder how Anwar is going to explain this to Xi — especially after just inviting China not too long ago to invest heavily in the country. Anwar will need to tread very carefully.

Inner Mongolia is where the digging is.

What makes you think Anwar isn't keen to supply Trump rare earth. From the grand reception to dancing together and sitting in his car, he is probably waiting for this and planning for this ........

I’m only implying Trump is desperate sourcing for rare earth

Anwar on the other hand of cos is delight to supply to him

On one hand secure a deal and also get to lower down their tariffs

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — In a historic move, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and United States President Donald Trump signed a deal to elevate bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) in recognition of growing strategic and multifaceted cooperation between Putrajaya and Washington.

“The elevation of partnership marks a historic advancement in the relations between the two countries, built upon a foundation of diplomatic engagement forged since 1957 and formalised as a Comprehensive Partnership in 2014,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

“The CSP is a testament to the enduring depth of cooperation across strategic areas, particularly in trade and investment, advanced technology, defence and security, energy security, regional peace and stability, and people-to-people ties,” said Wisma Putra after bilateral meetings between both leaders on the sidelines of the 47th Asean Summit and Related Summits here, today.

The CSP will further solidify Malaysia’s role as a vital and trusted partner of the United States in the Asia Pacific.

The US is among Malaysia’s largest trading partners and most prominent investors. Total trade between the two nations was valued at RM324.91 billion (US$71.39 billion) in 2024.

According to Wisma Putra, both leaders reflected on the historic nature of this inaugural meeting during the US President’s official visit to Malaysia in conjunction with the 13th Asean-United States Summit and the 20th East Asia Summit.

Malaysia is Trump’s first stop on his three-country swing across Asia, which will also include South Korea and Japan. — Bernama
