Hi,

I'm flying to Myanmar tomorrow. Is it okay to carry the xiaomi 10400mAh power bank with me?

Thank you :)

Customs will force open and check it, or confiscate it. your luggage will return with merely a black tape on the zip.

Learnt it the hard way in Zhangjiajie 4 years ago. :s13:

Ah thanks. Is this info about charger emphasized in flight instructions when tickets are booked?

I was told by the customs when I returned on that flight, that apparently due to residual heat on the battery/power bank, which we maybe unaware of, the power bank will actually 'glow' when your bags are being scanned. Which is why it was forced open to verify the item. Same as spare lithium batteries.

I have no ways of verifying such claims though.

bring a 10k mah powerbank and hand carry. any powerbank regardless of capacity cannot be put in luggage and check-in.

Interesting info. but does it mean that if the batteries are already discharged, can bring in?
