Power bank restrictions

For those travelling to thailand, take note of your power bank capacity.

(A) Power bank only allowed in cabin
(B) Power bank capacity 20,000 mAh to 32,000 mAh, only limited to 2pc in cabin.
(C) Power bank capacity more than 32,000 mAh, they would confiscate your power bank.

there was once my power bank was confiscated in bag for no apparent reason. My power bank was of the legal voltage lol

Went bangkok and phuket last week
they really open up both my bags and checked ...

if u put your power bank at your hand carry
after you scanned your bag, they would ask you to open up
then they would check the mAh ...

if they say confiscate, means gg to your powerbank ...

Yes I got it last week too. Eyes very sharp, once detect powerbank in bag during scan will bring you to the table nearby to ask you open up the bag and show them the power bank. Brought 20,000mAh, lucky did not confiscate.

They nowadays very strict
went bkk early this year, and sep jul, nov dec, they started to become more strict from nov onwards ...

what u mention is correct
once they detected power bank, they would open ur bag
tell u move to one corner of the table ...

by default, you can only handcarry your power bank ...
however once they scan ur luggage at the custom (hand carry)
they would ask you open up your bag .

then they would just check the capacity of your powerbank
check if is within the legal capacity or not ...

Since already know they will check your powerbank， then just take out before scan lor just like laptop. Then they will just take a look and that's it.

they must start to ask for "latpop ipad or powerbank", please take out
instead of just "laptop ipad", please take out and put on separate tray

As mention if fly frequently to Thailand then should auto take out instead of let them scan your bag then ask you take out.... Waste your time and their time then make the queue jam

ape your action is call initiative and also to save yourself the trouble taking it in and out. but seriously now days phone batt so good in thailand holiday still need power bank?

i got 2 power bank but i do not have to even use it at all. even when i'm in bkk.

come on power bank is a cheap thing anyway bkk has **** load of it.

i brought 20000mAH powerbank. My iphone battery drain fast (especially more than a yr old phone) when I am using to snap photos. Power bank comes in handy for me and family uses whenever we travel in or out of Singapore.

I agree frequent traveller to Bangkok can initiate the powerbank out with laptops/phones during scan to minimise time for clearance.

I almost forgotten that power bank can only be in handcarry and put all into check-in luggage from my way to Bangkok. Till I have a wierd feeling and check online about powerbank, then realise my mistake. quickly take out and handcarry before heading to airport.

wasted then wasted not that like can't afford to let it go to waste not everyone budget one le.
