power button led on when switch is on but can't start

Hi, damn suay this thing happened to me just one random fine day.(ytd)
No other lights i see on, when i press the Power nothing else happens. so now can't start up..does anyone know what part of my com is faulty? Ima true IT tard too...

Check your connection of your power button. If possible, try shorting the power button and ground pins on ur motherboard.

I'm using ikonik soho2...how do i check the connection and try shorting it? ( don't really understand those terms sry)

You say no power when you try to power on the computer right? What I suspect is that the wiring for the power button has came loose and there's no connection between ur button and motherboard.

Shorting the power button pin and the ground pin with a metal piece like screwdriver to check if really it's the connection problem.

Yes!! It turned on again thanks so much! But for a long term solution what should i do?(how to wire it to the mb or power button?)

You can have someone fix it at a small price or DIY.

Basically unsolder the wire connected to your switch then solder a new wire to the switch.

Yes soldering can be learnt easily through youtube. Soldering iron is $8 and the solder $1.50.
