Power Requirement for 2x GTX770?

Hi all.

I've had a Seasonic G550 80+ Gold PSU for a long time now and so far it's always been up to scratch. It handled first a 4850 OC, then 6970 and a 7970 Ghz. Not sure how close I've been cutting it as I didn't want to replace a perfectly good Gold unit.

Thinking of buying another GTX770 cheaply which after SLI will get 970~980ish kind of performance at the cost of abit more heat and power draw. Is it finally time to replace the PSU for something like 750W considering the existing components?

Sell your 770 and get a 1060 instead.

I don't think that there is a cheap GTX 770 available. If you are looking at the one being sold for $130, do read the description carefully - that card is spoilt.

recommended psu w is 850. take note on 2 x 6pin and 2 x 8pin connector.

I would sell gtx770 and get a gtx1060 or gtx1070 before it drops to 50

On one hand, you need to spend $300-400 get a GTX 770 and 750W PSU to support. Plus hefty electric bill to pay later (~$40/year*) for the high power consumption of this setup.
