Powertrip due to PSU faulty

PSU replacement done. However, the computer starts to lag even for basic usage and it trigger random shutdown. Is it possible that the hardware damaged during the powertrip. It was alright before the power trip.

unclear about your situation, is the power trip the cause of you needing to replace the PSU? or is the new PSU causing power trips? and is the power trip the kind of power trip that layman refers to? i.e. your electricity mains circuit box requires resetting?

oh, so when you said "power trip", you meant "PSU replacement". but your thread title still doesn't make sense...

in any case, I'm assuming there isn't a circuit breaker trip involved. what is your current system specs, and what was your old PSU, and why did you have to replace it? explaining all this will help reduce any mindreading needed...

1) Circuit Breaker tripped
2) PSU, send to service, found out it was faulty and replacement done
3) Installed the new PSU, able to power up and boot up.
4) However, basic usage laggy and sometime random shutdown.

hopefully your old psu never cause any ill effect to your rig.

What psu you using?

You can use crystaldiskinfo or HD Tune to check any problem to the hard disk.

If no problem detect, maybe try to re-install your os, chances are some file system or data corruption may take place during the trip.
