Pre-Built Desktop - Value for Money?

hi all,

Quite noob at all this, any thoughts on the following desktop build? Am look to buy for moderate gaming (FPS mainly / CoD / Valorant etc), and Work (Excel)

Currently going for 1.5K, might upgrade the RAM to 32GB for a +$150 or so

From what SI are you buying from?

Tbh the 360mm AIO abit waste money, the ryzen 7500F does not require such massive cooling, its a relatively efficient 65W CPU. Would also recommend going for 2x16gb DDR5 6000, thats the recommendation from AMD themselves in terms of speed, and 32gbs is (imo) a sweet spot for now and later into the future for desktop use.

not the best price to performance, best value I've seen was aftershock's 5600 + 6700xt for $895

do you really need DDR5 platform ? probably not.

as danexsis said, better value is aftershock 5600 + 6700xt, actually quite comparable gaming performance to this build for about half the price. u do have to contend with their lower grade nvme and psu though. for 1.5k, u can definitely do better: invaderpc has a 7500f + 4070 build for that price which is signficantly (>30%) faster for gaming, and as astones said, u dont need a 360mm aio for the 7500f. again, u have to settle for a worse nvme and psu, though u have the option to upgrade the psu at invaderpc of which i recommend going for the asus strix 750w for a ~$65 top up. i would go aftershock if i were targeting 4060ti performance level and prefer to save money, and go invaderpc if i wanted to spend about 1.5k on a pc.

probably overkill, the jump in price is also quite big.

their case i think is those cheapo 3rd party case with their own branding....

I was considering this vs Invader but went for Invader instead because

1. PNY4070 runs much hotter than ASUS, 68deg vs 60deg
ref : 4070 Comparison
2. Invader upgrade cost much more reasonable.. top 65 for 32gb ram and 64 for Rog Strix PSU.
(AS ram upgrade itself is 120 ??)

Looks expensive. And to be honest, the cooler and RAM used are not ideal. DDR5 6000 ram is not expensive, but they went with even cheaper and slower 5600 variant.
