The only chance would be to crack the random algorithm used by Singapore Pools, but if they are smart (and I think they are) they use a good random generator (at least cryptographically secure, maybe even using sources of real random if they want to be extra sure).

Just wondering, apart from radioactive decay, are there other sources of real random?

Yeah it is truly random. There have been statisticians who have cracked local lotteries before, but that's because there have been inherent flaws in the drawing processes, like the weights of the balls. Mostly these happen in small towns, but could never happen in SG.

Hi all,

I thank all of your comments (though mostly negative) especially the comment that nothing is truly random.

Random is almost always by design, at least that's what I feel and had validated.

Any designed operation operates with a set of rules and meanings that can be appreciated and navigated. I just feel that it's too easy to make passing remarks without validation and without a deeper understanding of why things happen the way they do... just saying...
