What's your desired brands to get from the outlets?

You can see the list of stores at http://www.simon.com after selecting the particular outlet.

I went to the Seattle one 2 years ago.
When I was there, the Coach was packed like pasar malam with Asian visitors while the Kate Spade was relatively quiet. Tax is around 7-8 percent I think.

For getting to Seattle premium outlet, don't waste money on taxi or rental car, book the Tulalip Luxeline bus which operates for the casino next door. For $10 u get round trip transport, free buffet meal and $10 worth of slot credits. And u are not obligated to play at the casino :s13:

Only downside is the transportation only allow u abt 4-5 hours at the outlet as return trip time cannot be changed. http://www.tulalipresortcasino.com/Resort/LeisureTravelAndToursLuxeline

Thanks for the heads up on Tulalip Luxeline bus, but we have 2 teens below 21, looks like we aren't eligible for the bus :(

In all honesty, we aren't crazy over any brands, perhaps Timberland, Under Armour and sports are what we are interested in. Hence not sure if it's really worth making an out of town trip to the outlets.

Been to both places, don't get stress out over taxes.
Seattle is 8.5%, vegas is 8.15%.
Selection of the clearance stuff vary
You may not find much at vegas as its real touristy.
If you looking at the normal offering the prices no diff and no diff in choices too.

As for worth, depends how you define it. $$ wise how much you plan to spend? It really depends on your benchmark to justify worth.
You can visit TJ MAX and Marshals to find deals better than outlet but it's really hit or miss.

Going your way out to less touristy outlet and you can score better deals but many are not into it. Season changing you can score past season stuff at discount,

Of course outlet quality often inferior to store but now inferior no one can accurately justify. Paying 2-3x more certainly doesn't translate for 2-3 more durable.

Tip: if you crazy shopper and need larger suitcases buy them at tj max, home goods or marshals never at outlet. Unless u wanted tumi

thank for clarifying on the taxes.
and yes that's exactly my thoughts, tj max, marshalls, etc might get hit and miss deals. hence this post to understand if it's really worth the trip as being a foreign visitor, time is not really in our hand as it may be put to better use elsewhere.

It up your priorities.
No one can measure worth for you. Shopping places all closes at 9pm.

Some felt it's impt to travel see new stuff others just shop, don't fancy sightseeing. I personally have taken relatives from gilroy outlet to napa outlet and back Gilroy outlet in 1 day cause that's so so impt

I go Seattle once a mth for the past mths, I just hit the wineries and go hunt down my fav coffee beans

Issue with tj max etc, sport shoes selection lacking.
Hard to find timberland shoes or boots.

If you into johnson Murphy shoes outlet always buy 3 get 1 free
