Hi Shifu(s)

Please enlighten me on the below hardware's market price, and where can it be purchased on-site.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 6-Core Gaming AM3+ Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte AM3+ SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3 (Please suggest if 4GBx4 is better?)
1TB Hard Drive: Fast SATA 6gb/s 7200RPM
Video GFX Card: NEW GTX 950 FTW Card (Tbh this seems a little extreme)
Casing: Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Black Gaming Computer Case Galaxy-03 (Any suggestions on good ventilation cases?)
PSU: Sentey® Power Supply 725w Xpp725-hs

Usage: Casual gaming(dota2, several FPS shooter games), usage of many applications with high usage of RAM. So I don't think I should invest in GPU that much, more in RAM rather.

Any recommendation on which shop I should head to for good prices, customer service, etc?

First time building a PC here.

Thanks in advance people!

Let's fix your build first?

Why amd chipset? Go for haswell/Skylake? Only PC Themes have it on their price list. Normal usage, a 4460+H81/B85 mobo is good. If not a 6400 with a H170/B150?

Ram get any will do. But what are the 'ram intensive' programmes you use? 16GB is more than enough. Throw in SSD also.

Gtx 950 (other brands, not evga) should have bought it yesterday from Lazada... Its alright for the games you play.

Casing and PSU will depend on your budget. What's your budget? Seems like you took your parts off newegg.

Dump that build, SG don't have that variety of parts as in US. And sad to say you should have asked earlier. Palit GTX 950 already went OOS on Lazada,,, :o

No budget?

And what applications you using that requires high amount of RAM?

How's the pricing for Haswell and Skylake, I noticed that Skylake supports DDR4 RAM. Yea but budget wise I don't really need that much.

As for SSD, any affordable one to recommend. Maybe it can replace the HD, I don't really need more than 1TB.

$600-700. A variety of applications, totalling to around 10 running at the same time, which uses around ~400mb of heap size each.

Then it would take up 4-5GB RAM in total only right? I believe it could be more taxing on CPU so would rather you stick to 8GB of RAM first and monitor situation first. Your budget is rather tight to begin with.

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4460 + ASRock H81M-HDS R2.0 @ $306
RAM: Crucial DDR3-1600 CL11 8GB @ $60
GPU: Zotac GTX 750 Ti 2GB @ $169 (Lazada Singapore)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $77
PSU: FSP Hexa+ 450W [80 Plus] @ $58
CASE: Generic ATX Chassis @ $25

Total: $695

Buy others from Tradepac, #05-18. Haggle for discounts!
