Just wanna say that besides the need of sending your kids for tuition or any other enrichment class(es) to ensure that they can catch up with the syllabus, it is also important for parents to play their part to ensure that their children are in a good learning environment. Bonding and encouragement are very crucial in every young child's growing years. No matter how much extra classes you send them to, but you fail to provide them with adequate emotional support, they may (or not) do well in their studies in short term but over long term they will be bound to feel the pressure and strain. Can't help but emphasize that parents are the fundamental teachers for all children.
Even if they may not do well, don't over pressure them and always show positivity, encourage and tell them "it's ok, I know you've tried your best, you will do better next time, and I will be here to support you always." Children are still children after all, they may not be able to grasp your hard learning methods yet as they are still "soft" and need a lot of guidance. If you don't give them enough support, that is when they will start going astray and in turn start to seek for other kinds of support outside. Children want to feel loved first. With love and enough support, they will grow well. And even though if their studies may not turn out as great as you expect, at least you know that you've raised a child well and happy.
