Printer off line problem

previously running windows 7, did not have issue with printing on my canon mp276.
recently changed notebook and the printer status kept showing offline status when I hook it to my wireless router.
only different is my new notebook is running 8.1, any help here? no problem if I connect direct to notebook with usb cable.

might be due to the printer drivers.

some windows 7 printer drivers don't work well with windows 8, so you can to install the windows 8 version of the drivers.
