Finally bought X340 Pro, after considering various options.

The most problematic issue is the washed out colours... Just like many have mentioned before. I'm using MacBook Pro and there are X340 ICC profile built-in the Operating System. I wonder if there is a difference asking from Prism directly

DCR and Cool doesn't seem to help much. Any other tips to look 'normal' in colours?

Another issue is that I can't seems to drive 100 Hz with HDMI 2.0 cable and port. MBP supports it, but it doesn't work. I'm waiting for Displayport to USB-C cable and see if it can offer 100 hz.

I installed the monitor with Opus arm, which is newer and more expensive. The Arc 01 and stealth are out of stock, and I didn't want to wait longer. Some minor issues but it works.

Any issue with opus arm as i saw from review monitor tilting down issue

I am using X340 Pro as well. I am able to achieve 100hz using display port / hdmi cable to my PC. Please take note that only the HDMI beside display port is under HDMI 2, the rest is HDMi 1.4

i also awaiting sharing for the color setting

Below is my setup

That's true, I compared it to F270i(with calibration) and the colors just look bad.

I heard the opus arm had issue holding the monitor and u need to tighten it real tight? Is that true?

im using opus arm with x340 and i move my monitor multiple time everyday.
everyday i have to tighten it real tight if not the monitor will tilt downward slowly

I also bought X340 Pro and use for a week already.
Was using F270i Pro. The color definitely more rich as it is using IPS panel.

You set your monitor to RGB Range to Limited or Full?

I find that when i set full, it kind of washed out. Not sure whether you can see the different. Can see the difference from the eye patch.

No regret purchasing it. Initially tot that the yellow tint cause problem. After tweaking between my gaming laptop, working laptop and my latest gaming PC setup. I observed following set up is look ok for my eyes and its the same for all connection DP, HDMI2.0 and HDMI 1.4

On monitor
Brightness dimmed to 50.
RGB temp to cool
HDR ON
Freesync ON
RGB Full

On computer
Set monitor refresh rate to 100hz

I could not hit 100 Hz with HDMI, even with HDMI v2.0 cable. It may be MacBook Pro limitation and/or the external HDMI adapters (tested a few).

I was able to get 100hz with DP to USB-C cable.

Just noticed that you are using a Lenovo. I tried with ThinkPad X1 Carbon and HDMI 2.0 port & cable. still maxed at 60hz. Any tips?

This is correct. Downward tilt is annoying. I had to tighten the screw nearest to the plate extremely tight. When moving monitor, it will likely cause downward tilt faster or it will do down over time. Quite disappointed about this one.

It seems the monitor is too heavy for the arm, although it is rated up to 9kg and X340 Pro is only 8kg

But aoc 24g2 is 1ms MPRT vs Prism 1ms GtG?

All 23.8 inch 144/165Hz 1080p IPS monitors use the same PANDA LC238LF1F panel (7.5ms response time). AKA your PRISM+ PG240, AOC 24G2, ASUS VP249QGR, Acer VG240Y P and Viewsonic XG2405 etc. I believe AOC has better overdrive settings and QC than PRISM+ at least.

All 24.5 inch 144Hz 1080p IPS monitors use the same AUO M250HAN01.6 panel. Current models are Acer VG252Q P which I own, and the ASUS VG259Q. A bit more expensive, but slightly better response time (5ms).

A true 144hz monitor requires a 7ms response time, with or without overdrive. However, pushing the panel too much to reach 1ms with overdrive will result in overshoot(coronas), while a slow panel will have ghosting.

The quoted response time from manufacturers are usually BS, I rather check the technical info of the panel itself on Panelook.

Is there a way to disable my X340 (original) from switching automatically between the DP and HDMI inputs? Both inputs are currently connected to devices.

Whenever the PC (DP) is rebooted, the X340 would switch over to HDMI and I'd have to manually switch it back to DP via the OSD zzz :s22:

The simplest method is to NOT have the device from HDMI active, it automatically gets the next signal if the current signal is disrupted.

Don't make sense to NOT auto switch because the monitor will be stuck in 1 mode and you can't even open up the OSD. :s22:

Otherwise, get a HDMI splitter and connect your PC using HDMI.

Came from a Dell US which did not auto switch - the OSD was still accessible when the signal drops..

Can't go to HDMI on the PC as I need Freesync.

Guess I'll try to get the HDMI device to drop the signal after inactivity.
