I do not have a gsync monitor so i cannot comment on gsync' buttery smooth.

But me curious to know something. You ever use iphone and android phone before? Go try latest androids from sony or Samsung. Surf the net, go to news website. Can you see any difference between scrolling down the news website between top of range android phone vs apple phone?

I tried sony premium XZ just now, side by side comparison with my iphone. My iphone is buttery smooth when scrolling down pages of news haha...

So the point is if you can also see the difference between android and apple then ya I believe you when you said you cannot see a difference when using gsync monitor.

Gsync is only relevant for those who play fast FPS or have games where you are constantly moving your mouse and controlling your character.

I have done a test and set Gsync off and on having used each setting for 1 month. I can tell you if you play fast FPS games, you will realise Gsync practically eliminates micro-stutters and slow downs when below your refresh rate. Usually those with Gsync and demanding games, even if your FPS is low, below or much below your monitor refresh rate, everything looks just so smooth despite showing a low FPS count.

I do admit Gsync does introduce some input lag but you do not get any stutter at all. It is hard to explain and substantiate it's worth unless you have tried it yourself with the games you play. For me, Gsync or go home. It just works.

Just make sure you mate a good GPU to a Gsync monitor and I would recommend a good 1440p over a 1080p if you have a good GPU. Newer panels with 1440p 200hz are coming out next year and it is going to become the mainstream standard for most gamers. Even 4k 144hz will be out next year. And both these monitors are exclusive to G-sync panels.

He said he cannot see a difference, he did not say he prefer to have gsync off or on. Therefore i want to establish the fact that he cannot see a difference is really because gsync is over rated or him not able to tell.

hmmm, to be honest, i can see the smoothness of iphone compare to other old devices. but i didnt think its because of sync mechanism. didnt even know iphone have sync mechanism that cause the smoothness.

the thing is, i have played games with or without gsync and i seriously cant tell any difference. its still the same if its >60fps then its smooth. if its <60fps then it stutters. thats why i always wonder if my monitor have defective gsync and i have no idea how to tell if its defective :s22::s22:

well, in any case, i gave up searching for answer and just enable it all the time. thats is one of the reasons i get 1080ti so the fps always more than 60fps for smooth game experience.

no stutter? hmm. i still experience micro/stutter even with gsync on. i play cod wwii, borderland series, shadow of war, witcher 3, mass effect andromeda, dragon age inquisition etc. all this game will stutter if the fps dips <60fps in some areas.

the only game i experienced buttery smooth is titanfall 2...with or without gsync

^ if ur monitor's native refresh rate is 144hz, wat has 60fps +/- got to do with anything except for 60hz monitors? is it more likely a config problem...?

not really understand, but even with native refresh rate of 144hz, anything less than 60hz will experienced stutter...if more than that, its smooth..if constant 100hz above, then its buttery smooth..at least thats what i experienced

Hmmm well on Battlefront and Witcher so far no issues.
Stutter is quite subjective. I did notice stutter (obvious) previously but it was was gone ever since I had a dedicated sound card instead of using on board.

Apparently Realtek drivers has issues slowing down a fair bit of games causing stutter (not just audio but graphical). But when I did have those stutters in Witcher 3 and Battlefront previously, my other games like Doom, etc were all stutter free. As of today, so far touch wood.

Hi, does it have picture-in-picture mode, audio out? I am thinking of getting it for pc + ps4. Lastly, did they print the ugly prism+ label on the monitor? the product picture on lazada does not have the label..
thanks!
