Hello


I have about 25 GB of files. I want to access remotely as well as sync with my other desktop (Windows), Linux desktop.

At present I am using drop-box but the total size I have is only 5GB (After few referral). I do not want to subscribe to dropbox to increase the storage capacity.



I have tried owncloud.org but based on my experience it is unreliable if you are using shared hosting. It was working suddenly stopped. I know Amazon AWS.. but I need to pay.


I have RT-AC66U Router. Any suggestion which does not involve regular payment?

Thanks. I know AWS is reliable it may need some technical skills. I have some but not an expert.

I want to sync in Linux and Windows automatically like Dropbox. I am not sure about it using AWS.

Owncloud has some issues in Shared hosting. I use godaddy. Recently they have upgraded the Apache to 2.4 and all functions broke. I remember Asus cloud may solve my problem, but I am not sure there is a free limit of 5GB is applicable if I use my own Hard Disk connected to ASUS router.

yeah u can invest in a nas or if u dun wan to use cloud like aws, u prob can setup yr own server with BitTorrent Sync n dyndns. syncs across win/mac/linux. yr own private dropbox

Just google for it. Not difficult. Setup a ddns, port forwarding to your qnap.
