Hi guys, I am a diploma holder in IT and have been working in the IT industry for 2 years++. I have thought of upgrading to a degree but couldn't enter local Uni and therefore private degree is my only choice. I would like to ask u uys, how valuable is a private IT degree out there? Govt jobs aside (Which is impossible to get in without local U cert I know), does private employers recognise private degree as a degree? I have heard that some of them do not and only look at it as an advanced diploma, or worse still, do not even consider it for employment.

Please give some constructive advice as I do not wish to waste my hard-earned money on a toilet paper. Thanks all

almost all private employers (SME, MNC) are recognised private degree as degree.
don't worry about that.
as long as the university is recognised in home country, shouldnt be a problem.

1) Many senior position do require degree as a baseline.
2) Without degree, you may not go higher position.
