For every new learner's sake, please don't ever engage sgdrivinginstructor!!! I sh*t you not, it's one of the worst driving centre you'll ever get to experience.


I engaged their service and got assigned to Mr Steven Ong Choon Tee, SKA 6178 X, Black Honda. I was hoping that he'll be a great instructor but hell no! You can search for his reviews and see how many negative comments he gets. (hope I did my research beforehand) He is very unhygienic and the passenger seats at the back of his car is very very very dirty with alot of rubbish.


On my first lesson, he only bother to mumble rather than teaching. Since it's my first time driving a car, I'll definitely make some mistakes along the way and he'll scold me as if it's my 20th lesson. He even hit my hands a couple of times and gave me negative remarks instead of encouraging me. I truly believe that that's not how you're supposed to teach someone on their first day. I kept on looking at the time on the dashboard, desperately waiting for the lesson to end.
That's how frustrated I am.



So feeling frustrated, I decided to message the agent from sgdrivinginstructor and asked for a change of instructor but they won't bother to reply. I'll have to keep on spamming them and then they will reply but unwillingly. So i go back and forth on whatsapp with the agent. They said that they don't have any instructor at the moment. So i told them that I'll wait and asked them to keep me updated. Fast forward 2 months later, i decided to message them and ask for an update but no reply. Messaged and called them every single day since 7 February 2023 but still no reply up till today (26 April 2023). So please don't waste your money and effort in engaging their service. When asking for the payment, they will message you in an instant but when you are asking for a solution, the won't even bother to reply you.


Don't be deceived by the motto and reviews on their website. Please do more research before engaging their service. (Although you no longer need to, as this post already exposes them)

When i was at learning stage, i duno kena F how many times by my PDI. During TP test also kena F by tester but still pass with 1 try. Total is around 10 practical only.

All these PDI are old uncle coz PDI license no more issued out. If the trainee at earlier slot cause trouble to the PDI, more or less his frustration will fall on the next trainee when the trainee made mistake. Like i said they are old uncle, kena F is cannot avoid. U wan better service, cannot accept kena F, pay more go school.

I understand where you're coming from but know this, it's never about being able to accept getting scolded by PDI or not. It's just that their service is just rubbish. I stayed in the car throughout the whole lesson without arguing or scolding the old uncle and after that, I messaged the agent to request for a change of instructor. I came out with a solution rather than causing any trouble. I've been brought up in a society whereby getting f is unavoidable. Definitely prevention is better than cure, so that's why I requested for a change of instructor rather than waiting for things to get ugly.



It's never about the money as well, I'm not engaging their services because they're cheap. I'm engaging them because I want to have a flexible schedule for my lessons. Putting my trust in them and end up ghosting me. I'm not the only one experiencing this. There's even a blog about their service and I only got to know about that after experiencing it. 99% of the reviews about them are so bad.



You understand how dangerous it is right to be in a car as a first timer, wanting to learn but end up having this kind of PDI who will hit your hands rather that guiding you, anything can happen. Patience is a virtue but it's not for everyone. It is what it is, I'm just spreading awareness and letting people know that this kind of PDI do exist whereby they just want to eat your hard earned money rather than teaching and guiding you with their passion.



Mainly, I'm highlighting about sgdrivinginstructor, you see how their motto and reviews deceived you on their website but once you pay the enrolment fees to them, there goes your money. It's the quality of the service that counts.

THIS IS A SCAM. Firstly they will take registration fee of $85+ and said will find an instructor for you. Then went missing for few weeks then come back and gave a date.

Nearer to the date, admin informed and said the instructor (Steven Ong) passed away and said will find another instructor. Came back few weeks later with a date that is 3 months away from initial date.

So on the actual day, I already reach the location and instructor is nowhere to be seen. Admin contacted instructor and was told that instructor was down with MC. I travelled from east to Admiralty! Time wasted and money transport wasted!

They refused to refund the registration fee when no service been rendered.

And guess what? After reading a few reviews here, apparently the initial instructor (Steven Ong) is still alive??? Lol
