Private Life same as recruit

Recently POPed nw as a private. But things are still more or less the same. So sian.. ? Am from 42sar support coy mortar platoon. Any old ones can share ur experiences?

What's the diff between REC and PTE? Both got no rank insignia. Both got same allowance. Both are the low men on the totem pole. At BMTC you got ****** by everyone include the coy clerk who is only a PTE. At unit you get ****** by everyone including the storeman who is only a LCP.

I guess the only diff is if you get posted back to BMTC then if you want you can f*ck a REC just to flaunt your rank. Failing which there is seriously no difference.

REC got no combat allowance.

PTE got combat allowance (provided they are eligible)

i would say that appointment holds an even bigger part than rank.

imagine if you are a PTE but is a CO PA. you are pretty much untouchable... serving the CO is more important than any other sh1t job...
