Dear all,

My civic got problem w e aircon. No longer blowing cold air. I went to my workshop n my workshop told me that problem lies with e aircon compressor but he say still can drive n pump gas for me.

But after few days, aircon not cold anymore. So shld i seek 2nd opinion?or jus change e compressor at $580 new one. Thanks

if pumping gas works, probably leakage from the pipe...not compressor problem...

seek 2nd opinion will be a better choice...

yup mine say not all compressor's magnetic clutch can be replaced separately and mostly compressors are ok except the clutch are the first to spoil....

2nd this ~ might need a good air con mechanic to retify
some mechanic just tell u to change new compressor :s8:

You should go for second opinion and then take a decision. Buying an e compressor for Air con will make a lot of expense and if still the problem doesn't resolve it will be a big problem. So go with second opinion.

I've the same problem with my Civic. Will make an appointment with Tomiko as recommended by brothers here. BTW do they accept credit cards?
