Problem with either CPU or Motherboard

My DIY PC will power on and then shut off after a sec and will repeat on and off until i off the power supply switch. Unplug everything expect left motherboard 24v connected, same result. Jump start power supply with fan connected directly, power supply working. Only left CPU and motherboard. Do not have spare CPU and MB to test. How to determine if which one is bad,MB or CPU?

Don't assume PSU is 100% OK if can jump start. Best to bring rig to Nigel for troubleshooting.

End of day concluded that mobo is faulty/unstable. Chances of CPU spoiling is quite low. Check for bent pins.

think is PSU.. think best to get it check.. or u spare rig then test on that rig..

Check CPU for dents or burn..

check ram for burn marks and try reseat & test one by one of the ram..

last.. check for motherboard if still under warranty get the distro to test for you..

Faulty RAM can also cause system to keep rebooting. Try removing and re-inserting the ram modules. Or use a single stick of the RAM one at a time if your system is using 2 to see if it helps.

Yea, second this. Many times if it is not psu then is ram came loose or faulty.
Just try the rams 1 at a time, each slot at a time.

Depends on how long the cpu fan spins... Unlikely to be psu. If spins short while then is mobo issue. If spin a longer time then stops is cpu or ram issue..

on for a sec then off then repeat again on for a sec and then off. Using AIO, case fan spin a while then stop then spin again and then stop.

you might want to try reset your cmos and see if it works.
