problem with front audio jack help please

recently bought a Evolv X case and whenever i tried to connect my headphone jack to the front audio jack i got this problem where there is a loud input but the mic is not able to detect my voice and all my friend hear is loud noise with nothing in it. anyone know why?

Is it a loud high pitch noise?
I had that problem and tried 10 million way to fix it, end up just buy a usb mic
