Hi, just got my new rig yesterday.

1) Is it normal for the cpu to be noisy which playing games like DMC?
2) can i use two connections (hdmi and vga) to connect to the cpu from the monitor at the same time?
3) how do I check the temp of my gpu and cpu?

Rig's spec:
P8Z77-V Pro Intel i5-3570
2x 4gb
128ssd + 1tb hdd
MSI R7870
CM centurion 6

the noise shld be the processor fan running at high speed to cool the processor down ba.

can download hardware monitor to see the temp.

generally CPU load temps should be Mid 60's and GPU range should be less than 80 to be safe.

More on the temp problem, when playing Bioshock, once I had to minimize the game and do my stuff with the game running in the background. My GPU temperature suddenly shoot up to 100 deg. Why is this so? I also realise that when I am playing the game, the GPU temperature max is around 80 deg.

Check fan speeds (use MSI Afterburner to check) and see if they're physically working. My initial 7870 Hawk had a DOA fan. If temps persist despite further troubleshooting, bring the card down to Corbell for them to check/test

Thank all for the reply

MSI afterburner and GPU-Z show the GPU fan is working alrite, abt 1550 rpm. will continue to observe to see whether got further spike in temp again.

What does DOA mean? i guess Afterburner and GPU-Z can determine whether the fan is working or not.

1 Question: I thinking of buying extra fans, but will that really solve the temperature spike?
