Problem with PC memory config

Hey guys

I am suspecting 2 of my DIMM slots on P8Z77-V to fail.

I was originally running my ram kit (Kingston HyperX Beast 16 GB Kit (2x8 GB) 1600MHz DDR3 PC3-12800 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM XMP Desktop Memory KHX16C9T3K2/16X) on A2+B2 combo.

I was doing clean up of my system and i dusted my system using brushes and I reseated my CPU cooler. Then that's when the nightmare started.

My system refused to boot up and after hours of troubleshooting, realized that the 2 ram slows were broken (A1 and A2) as alternating between either rams on A1 or A2 couldn't boot (on a single piece of ram) while B1 and B2 worked. Dual rams only work in the B slots.

Is there any issue with the stated ram model with the mobo? It's strange that things refuse to boot after CPU Cooler re-seating. Or is there any configurations I need to take note on?

Is dual channel not applicable now that my rams are seated on B slots?

Also, I checked through my configurations and this ram kit appears not to be on QVL; Voltage is 1.5V for this kit, should be fine.

Any reasons or experts to help comment? Problem with mobo or memory config?

btw, if i change my mobo, can I still get LGA1155 chipset i.e. Z77 stuff? at SLS? I don't seem to see any price list for them..

yeah, i saw a lot of z77 at TP... But must go down and hunt for what u want.

thanks for the info! probably will go recce sometime soon when I want to replace my mobo..
