Problem with Singpass

Hi guys, recently bought a One Plus 12 from China, and found an issue during Singpass App set up. Key in credentials, and then successfully passed face scan authentication. After that tick the 3 boxes to confirm the details are correct and apply for my own.

However after click continue, App show: Something went wrong, with an error code 83-T991. Called up Singpass and tried whatever they suggested but did not work. Anyone has any experience dealing with this? Thanks in advance!

P.S. I tried to install old version of Singpass, like 13, 14 till 19. Some really old version can not evenet me scan face. Recent versions can pass face scan but show same error.

Not able to help but I was thinking of getting the same phone from China.
Apart from SingPass, any other problem?
Can use GooglePay?

Remember 1 year ago Pixel 7 series having similar issue and new release of Singpass version fixed the issue. Maybe Singpass not recognizing the device hence the error code?
Singpass support may not understand or know about OnePlus 12 or China rom phones.

Not able to help but I was thinking of getting the same phone from China.
Apart from SingPass, any other problem?
Can use GooglePay?
Other than that so far so good, but I have not tried out Google pay.

Singpass working on my china Rom phone (Oppo find X6 Pro). Been using it since May

Calling Helpdesk not helpful. Email support btr
Need to register via pin.

To request for the Singpass app activation PIN mailer, please follow the instructions below.

Log into the Singpass app with your Singpass ID and password.
Scroll to the bottom and tap on the “here” link under “If you are not able to complete setting up Singpass app with your existing 2FA, click here.”
You will see an image of a letter. Tap on the “Right arrow”.
Tap on “Yes, mail the PIN to this address”.

I encountered this issue on my Samsung S23 ultra 4 months ago, nothing can help from Singpass.support and Samsung call centre. I am still not able to setup the singapss app on my phone till now.

My 2FA actually works, I can receive SMS, can pass face scan, not sure how the PIN could help in this case?

I encountered this issue on my Samsung S23 ultra 4 months ago, nothing can help from Singpass.support and Samsung call centre. I am still not able to setup the singapss app on my phone till now.
Did you get your S23 locally? I can't imagine it doesn't work for your case. Maybe factory reset your phone? This is what Singpass staff told me, but I doube it's gonna work....

Contacted SingPass via call centre today and they advised me to opt for the pin via mail. With the pin, you will be able to set up SingPass bypassing the facial recognition feature. Thereafter you will be able to use your Singpass App. The mailing pin should reach you in 2-3 business days. Hope it helps

Thanks for the information, I have actually realized that recently after my phone OTA update to Andriod 14.0.0.605, the problem with Singpass was resolved. Now everything works like a breeze ;)

your problem resolved??? i having issues with my S23 ulta too for SP.

for mine case, even the pin doesnt work.. super sianz.. i need the SP to login a lot of apps.

OTP --- no problem
Face recognition --- failed
Face recognition retry --- no problem
3 box tick to confirm --- no problem
Last step --- failed, error code 83-T991

Don't know and no idea how to solve, but waiting
