I am having the problem with my Starhub prepaid since Sunday. It cannot access the Starhub network an dI cannot call/SMS etc. Interchanged the SIM card with my wife phone, and my phone can work (ie using my wife SIM card) and my wife phone failed to access the network. Problem is clearly with my Sim card or more likely with my Starhub account.

They told me to change my SIM card, which I did. However the problem still persist. I think I got cheated of my money as the problem appears to be with their system and not a faculty SIM card.

Any one else with the same problem with Starhub prepaid?

This could be due to Prepaid SIM card are already assigned mobile number with the SIM card IMEI in the system, fixed.
Hence when porting have to switch the mobile number as this could one reason, if not done properly.

Whereas postpaid SIM card do not have any assigned mobile number so it is flexible... less or not much an issue.

When you "change the SIM card" - which type of SIM card did they use.. postpaid SIM or prepaid SIM.

If they use postpaid SIM then maybe you could request for Prepaid SIM instead.
Let them settle the swapping of the mobile number themselves for you as free... their internal problem.
In this way it is like to do the porting process again, if previous is not done properly.
Just a suggestion.. not sure it would work or not... messy or complicated.

My view & opinion.

They claimed that my previous PREPAID SIM card was faulty and asked me to change, However after changing to e new prepaid SIM card, the problem remains the same (cannot access the network). Have to pay for the new SIM card.

Took me almost 3 days to get this corrected. I kept calling their hot-line and make a fuss.

Because of the fuss, they credited the money I paid for the SIM card, into my main wallet of my prepaid account. Better than nothing, I guess.

You can purchase a $20 Top Up either via Online or Card to extend 180 days.

Or using existing prepaid main credit of $0.60/0.99/1.40 to extend 30/60/90 days, respectively.
Simply key in *123*200#, dial on your registered Prepaid mobile phone and select your preferred validity extension period.

Although multiple extension is allow but there is the limit on extending the expiry date of prepaid as it will not extend beyond 180 days or 6 months.

Do note that maximum prepaid expiry is 180 days or 6 months at any 1 time.
