Hi folks, I recently managed to revive a Samsung Note 4 (flat screen) and bought a cheap tempered glass 0.3mm for it.

However, as much as I applied it evenly over the surface, there are still areas in the middle of the glass that are not in contact. This led to my Spen (fingers ok but that defeats the purpose of an Spen) being unless because it wasn't sensitive over those areas.

I have another Note 4 but it didn't have that problem with another tempered glass (other brand).

How do you guys deal with this? Buy another tempered glass (thinner like 0.2mm) and hope for the best? Or just use a film protector? Just go naked :s13:?

when you have an air gap, your sensitivity will be reduced. you need to buy a glass that has full adhesive or have the matrix dots which improve sensitivity..

That is the problem, my Spen has a problem with tempered glass. Funny thing is I have 3 Samsung Note Phones but only 1 has this problem.

So buying a thin tempered glass helps? Full adhesive meaning those film ones huh? Quite difficult to apply leh.

Erm if difficult to apply, find someone to apply for you? We can't help u to apply leh.

Spen works only if it's close to the screen. If the space between the screen and the pen is too wide, then the screen won't sense the pen no matter how hard u push...

I thought about it as well but if I use the phone naked, there's no problem. Another issue I find film protectors are that they are sticky on the surface compared to tempered glass.

By "sticky on the surface", do u mean more friction trying to swipe? If so, yes that's quite true really.
