Hi guys, need your kind advice. 3 months ago, my computer started to give me various problems. One of it was whenever I leave my computer on for more than 15 minutes without touching the mouse/keyboard, the screen will go dark. So I'll try to turn the display back on by moving the mouse or typing on the keyboard. However, the display would still refuse to turn on. I have to hold the power button manually to restart the computer for it to work. Also, my computer would automatically restart when I play graphic intensive games like fallout 4 and battlefield. My graphics card is an r9 280x. What could be the issue here? :(

google HW monitor and use it to report your temperature .

Do you overclock your PC? Failing to wake from sleep sounds like unstable overclock, so do crashing when playing games

black screen wake from sleep is usually due to amd catalyst driver. try another catalyst driver ver. newer/older to test...
sudden restart w/o warning when high gpu load, suspect psu like some mentioned...

Overclocked or not, 98 degrees is not a healthy sign.

First of all, remove all the dusts accumulated at the processor heat sink fan assembly and re-apply a new coat of thermal paste for the processor. Clean the graphic card cooling fan as well.

If problem persist, open the casing side windows and blow a standing fan when you're playing game. If system running fine with the fan blowing them the problem likely due to overheating, nothing serious.

Ok i`ll try it out :)

48-56 on stock okay because haswell has FIVR on the chip.

How much warranty do you have left? If clean dust on gpu does not improve temps, suggest you send back to distro for them to replace the thermal compound?

My computer is about to turn 2 years old next month. So I guess the warranty is still valid right?
