As titled above, sending mobo for repair due to broken ram clip. However, need remove processor but don't have box and clamshell tray. Got any other safe ways to store processor? I have left over ESD bags from SSD and HDD. Can use them to store then put inside a box?

Heard of ESD foams also but like very hard to find. Anybody got good advice on matter?

typically for intel chips shouldnt be a problem to just store it in the bag because there's no pin poking out

Ask the repair shop for it while leaving your processor in motherboard first
