Hello, any successful candidates for the 2020 PCP AHP intake who can share their experience in application. As well as offer advice on the process?

Many have worries over taking the plunge to start a new career in their late 30s to early 40s. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Anyone who are planning to apply next year, hope we can connect here to offer support to each other.

Hello there,
recently I have failed twice in applying the PCP physiotherapy program due to extremely low GPA and I don't own a O level certification where I graduated from N level and ITE NITEC at that time. Is a long story, that I was so excited to exit the industry that I dislike and I still stuck at having a diploma in EEE at RP with a GPA of 1.6 out of 4. It is so demoralizing of having such low GPA that I didn't know what to do next. Moving forward I worked as a Fitness Trainer for 2 years and above and I gain alot of useful knowledges in regards of knowing the human kinesiology and anatomy for training NS men and NSF for their specific goals that they wanted to achieve. I received a Letter of Appreciation for having such great feedback from the NS men and NSF for my service of the training that I gave them. Also they enjoy it and benefitted them as well. Now I currently working in Hospital as a Patient Care Officer where I get to work with the Allied Health Professionals such as the three therapist, Physio, Occupational and Speech and others that you should know about it . I will be skipping it for 2 years from now and I taking another part time diploma in RP that relates to human health in Medical Laboratory Science. I know is a wasted of time which will last around 2.5 years, currently I am 26 years old by the time I graduate I will be 28-29 years old. I made a lot of mistakes and needed motivation. I really need help to make this thing work. I got to prove myself I can do this especially enrolling another diploma which many of my friends, colleagues and families disagree of me taking the course instead of taking a private degree would be better. If only Singapore offers another privates institutions where we can enroll course in physiotherapy and other healthcare professionals course for those people Academic wise is not that good.

Hi i applied for 2021 pcp physio and got rejected, appealed and got offered. I'm 31 this year. It seems like the main things they look for are grades, and passion for the career...

Hi, I am 34 this year and my wife shared this post to me. Im currently in civil service. Studied accounting and work office jobs for past 10 years.

I applied physio last year but was rejected. Did not appeal. I applied again this year, most likely reject since no MMIs so far. I wrote in to check, appeal opens on 25 May.

Would you be able to share with me more details how you successfully appealed? I can share more on my background if it helps (although i cant DM, i think not enough posts).

Thanks!

Thanks for quick reply.

Im accounting degree holder, with SIM-UOL. If i can't get in SIT physio this round, i planning to quit my job and do a sport science diploma while looking for sports therapist/massage or physio assistant openings to get experience.

I think SIT is using your diploma / GCE A Levels results to shortlist you from what I’ve gathered from the in depth reading of hwz postings on these CCP..
