i become msi lover since 2003/2004 around 20 years ago when i buy msi from Sim Lim Square
nowadays the graphics processing unit is so huge in size is the largest component in desktop

i went from rx6600 to 6800xt on my mATX rig.....nearly couldn't fit the GPU in....had to angle here and there before the card can go into the casing.

If i do 4090 will have 150w buffer. 5090 maybe only 50w buffer, very tight if i add in more peripheral will gg.

do u mean diablo 4? but rtx 4080 current cost maybe 1 leg or arm...

it's fairly priced now.

you can buy an Rtx4080 at a 2/3 of the cost of a macbook pro ULTRA/MAX and stsill beat the macbook pro in all aspect handsomely.

the nvidia price seems to be benchmark against the macs.

mac m1/2 base variant (not pro) only matches with the windows laptop Iris Xe/AMD integrated grphics performance and is selling at $1400-1500. So you can see the windows iris etc is selling 2/3 of the cost of those Mac.
and so on and so forth

No more desktops for me. Budget lenovo gaming laptop (SGD1100++, Ryzen 4700, GTX 1650, yr2021) with built in UPS hook up to external monitor and k/b mouse.

me too.
my last desktop refresh was like 5yrs back probably.. and using RTX1050 only.

Now also looking at RT4050 laptop. Pricepoint is around $1800-2200 for 2.5-3k resolution .
very sweet pricing compared to the Macbook air variant.
