Ya.. first time i complete such a long mod process.. will keep track on this thread. Full of respect for his determination, creativity and skills. Defintely not something you can pick up that easily.
Keep up the good work, will hope to see your final piece of product. Should link it to the main forum or sticky it as the most eyes dropping mod of the year.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

No updates today, I'm tired from my journey.

While in California last week there's been progress:
The carbon panels are being cut and shipped back to me, the copper pieces follow shortly thereafter.

My new mobo, RAID card, and BBU have arrived.

I also just got word that my Grandfather finally passed on a few short hours ago. A magnificent life topped off with a tragic final decade.

As much as I just want to relax in my own bed after all the traveling I've been doing the past month, I'll be off on the road again ~700KM north to Sault Ste Marie today to prepare for the funeral (700KM! north... in January... in Canada... bad idea! My drag racer wasn't built with 10' of snow @ -35deg C in mind).

Hi Langer,

all the best and travel safe.

I snapped some quick pics of the new hardware and replacement motherboard (I've actually had this stuff for about a week now). I'll be flying north this afternoon.

Here's the Highpoint RocketRAID 3510 with a Highpoint BBU-03 battery backup unit installed:

Here's a closeup of the BBU-03:

If i were to fit the Heatkiller 3.0 with 3/4" Compression fitting. Will it be a perfect fit?
Will the barbs touch each other?

I'm afraid that this (current) rev3.0 model will only support ~16mm diameter fittings, (my hoses come to 21mm, and they squish on just fine).

However Rico from Watercool is rumored to have revised the design to rev3.1, to accommodate up to 32.5mm fittings.

That said, you can use compression fittings with the existing rev3.0 block if you use Bitspower 45degree fittings: http://tinyurl.com/bitspower45.
