I'm using projector to maximise the space in the room. And for $100+, I can get a 50-60" screen.

For a 50-60" screen, ANY TV you get, even from prism+ or china brand, will give you a superior image. Projectors only make sense at 110-120" or if you live in an apartment and the TV size doesn't fit in the lift.

You can get them much cheaper if you buy the china versions from taobao.

Nahh this on portable and not cheap ones. You go see his other videos for best cheap, iirc it's nexigo pj40 gen 3 (250 usd)

Mostly for day, night time projector can be better. Those prism and china tv black level quite cui one so night viewing can be worst than good projectors. But yes, most cases tv will be better than projector.

For me just for viewing, not those audio or video siao, watch and get done with type. I'm not so particular with it.

Other than space saving, it is also a cheaper investment. $30 a year depreciation over 5 years. My current projector (some cheapo tiongs brand) is about 10 years old. Used daily for at least 4-5 hours.

Do u need to place it directly in front of the wall? Or slanted also can

If u slanted from the left, the right side of the projected image will blur a bit. Not sure if u get what i mean.

Yeah, more for casual watching. This projector had survived through 3 Starhub set-top boxes, including the current tv+ android box.

i have an Xgimi Aurora (bought last time for $500)
Not a bad projector, but it's only 1080p
I feel the picture quality is decent, and ive been using it for years

Beginning of this year I upgraded to JMGO N1S Pro
I import directly from China via Taobao, so it only cost me S$1.2k.
If buy from Amazon, it will cost $2.6k

4k projector. Much better picture quality than my old XGIMI.

If money isnt an issue, then just skip those cheap projector and get a good 4k one.
There's alot of good projector brands from China. If u can read chinese, can buy directly from Taobao, it will cost half the price from international sites like Amazon.

I’m also looking at the projector for the mbr

since there is a blank wall in front of the bed.
Any recommendation below $500? I don’t mind Taobao type.

I only used 2 projectors before so im not knowledgeable enough to give recommendations lol. But you can check out some youtube videos comparing different projectors and see which u like



Alot of good projector brands are from China, so u can get them way cheaper from taobao then from amazon.
Only issue of buying from China is that their OS will be in chinese, and they dont come with android.
Therefore u need to buy either a chromecast or fireTV stick to connect to the projector in order to have youtube/ netflix etc.
